Overview

Every time the phone assistant handles a call, you will receive a notification with a summary of the conversation, what was ordered or booked, a link to replay the call recording, the caller ID (caller's phone number and name, if available), and the time of the call. You are notified even if the call is left unfinished or terminated prematurely, ensuring no call is missed.

Your also get critical system notifications, including failed payments, expired cards, or service interruptions (e.g., if the phone assistant stops working).

Choose how you want to be notified — you can use one or all of the options below. SMS (text) and the Order Monitor app are included at no extra cost.

To set up notifications in two languages (e.g., Spanish & English), go to Additional Settings → Phone Assistant Settings → Administration & Notification Language

Notification methods

The Notifications page presents three options as expandable sections: Option 1 — Text Messages (SMS), Option 2 — Order Monitor App, and Option 3 — Receipt Printer.

SMS notifications send a text message to one or more phone numbers after each phone assistant call.

Setting up SMS:

  1. Enter a phone number in the SMS notification field

  2. Click Add to save it

  3. You can add multiple numbers — all of them receive every notification

What you receive:

  • Your business name and sub-organization

  • Caller name and phone number

  • Request type (Order, Appointment, Information, etc.)

  • Summary of the conversation

  • Order/Appointment detail

  • Link to the full call recording

If SMS is the primary notification method, add at least one number during the setup.

Receipt printer

Option 3 — Receipt Printer: Adding a receipt printer is entirely optional, as the Order Monitor app is fully functional on its own. However, a printer can automatically produce paper tickets—including the ticket number, caller details, ordered items, and special instructions—right alongside the on-screen display, making it ideal for restaurant kitchens or front desks. To use this feature, you will need a phone or tablet running the Order Monitor app. To explore compatible models or make a purchase, simply expand the Receipt Printer section on the Notifications page and click the purchase link.
